1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating a RigDock account, requesting quotes, submitting quotes, or booking equipment through the RigDock platform ("Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and Rental Agreement ("Terms"). If you are using the Platform on behalf of a company or production, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity.

2. The Platform's Role

RigDock is a marketplace connecting touring productions and event organizers ("Renters") with audio/visual equipment rental companies ("Vendors"). RigDock is not a party to any rental transaction. Each rental contract is formed directly between the Renter and the Vendor when a quote is accepted. RigDock does not own, inspect, or warrant any equipment listed on the Platform.

3. Accounts & Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract.
  • You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
  • Account information must be accurate and kept current, including verified contact email.

4. Rental Terms (Renters)

  • Care of equipment. Renters must use equipment with reasonable care, in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and any Vendor instructions.
  • Condition documentation. Check-out and check-in scans, photos, and signatures captured through the Platform form part of the rental record.
  • Loss or damage. Renters are financially responsible for loss, theft, or damage to rented equipment from pickup/delivery until return, at replacement value or repair cost as documented by the Vendor.
  • Late returns. Equipment returned after the agreed rental period may incur additional daily charges at the quoted rate.
  • Prohibited uses. Sub-renting to third parties without Vendor consent, or use in unlawful activities, is prohibited.

5. Vendor Terms

  • Accurate listings. Vendors must accurately describe equipment condition, specifications, and availability.
  • Quotes are binding offers. A submitted quote, once accepted by a Renter, forms a binding rental contract on the quoted terms.
  • Safety. Equipment must be maintained in safe working condition and comply with applicable safety regulations.
  • Cross-rentals. Vendors participating in vendor-to-vendor transfers are bound by the same care and documentation obligations as Renters for the transferred items.

6. Payments & Fees

Payments are processed by third-party payment providers (e.g., Stripe). RigDock may charge platform or processing fees, disclosed before booking confirmation. Vendors are responsible for their own taxes. Refunds and cancellation terms are set per booking and shown at the time of quote acceptance.

7. Insurance

Renters are strongly encouraged to carry adequate insurance covering rented equipment (e.g., inland marine / rented equipment coverage). Vendors may require proof of insurance before releasing equipment. RigDock does not provide insurance of any kind.

8. Disputes Between Users

Disputes regarding equipment condition, damage, or payment are between the Renter and the Vendor. Platform records (scans, timestamps, photos, signatures, messages) may be made available to both parties to help resolve disputes. RigDock may, but is not obligated to, assist in mediation.

9. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RIGDOCK'S TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE FEES PAID BY YOU TO RIGDOCK IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM. RIGDOCK IS NOT LIABLE FOR EQUIPMENT FAILURE, SHOW DELAYS OR CANCELLATIONS, OR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.

10. Privacy

We collect and process account information, booking records, and usage data to operate the Platform. We do not sell personal information. Transactional emails (verification, password resets, booking notifications) are part of the service.

11. Termination

You may close your account at any time. RigDock may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraud, or misuse the Platform. Obligations arising from existing rentals survive termination.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be versioned and you may be asked to re-accept before continuing to use the Platform. The version you accepted is recorded on your account.
